Dear Vui,

Thank you very much for your book "The Forgotten Generation" and your very kind words. I am sure "the fogotten generation" is grateful to you for remembering them as valiant fighters who did their best for an ill-fated South Vietnam, then "risked their lives in search of freedom, and made sacrifices for the future of their children."

We were losers in the time of war but we have become winners in the time of peace, thanks to the success of the younger generation of Vietnamese expatriates, in America and in other democratic nations. You have made great contributions to your adopted country; you will, by one way or another, change your country of origin into a free, democratic country.

Warmest regards,
Le Xuan Khoa

I enjoyed The Forgotten Generation very much – your writing brings out vividly the passion of you and your family’s experience through extraordinary times.  What all of you from Viet Nam have accomplished in what is really not very much time is amazing.  I know you’re a proud and honored member of your family that is a lifetime success of the highest degree.

The Forgotten Generation is both Riveting and Entertaining

October 08, 2009: The Forgotten Generation is both riveting and entertaining. It begins with the passionate human loyalty and love of country and transcends to that of survival, commitment, bravery and ultimate success. From the comfort and valiances of an indigenous domicile where success permeates through multiple ancestries, one extraordinary family ventures to a new land cooperating in tandem to build a strong weave into the fabric of America.

Author and Successful Speaker, Vui Le, presents his remarkable tale of a journey fully lived, fully loved, and fully ripened. It is an honor to have the opportunity to read and share along in the fascinating tale of one remarkable voyage through an inescapable river of the unknown travesties and tragedies of war and social integration into the land founded by immigrants, America the Beautiful.

The book, The Forgotten Generation, is written with the foremost thought and dedication exemplifying faith, courage, honor, integrity, humility, grace, honesty, and trust.

Tender, Heartfelt and Moving. A Remarkable Story

This book is very tender, heartfelt and moving. Considering that Vui Le came to America without knowing a word of English, it is astounding how well-written it is. Before I began editing The Forgotten Generation, I knew very little about the fall of Saigon and the life of the Vietnamese people. Vui Le opened my eyes to the horror, courage and sacrifice. Imagine fleeing to America as your country burned and your friends were murdered, with no language skills, no money, no friends, no marketable occupation, but only your dreams and hopes for a new life after losing everything you’ve ever known. The Forgotten Generation is a remarkable story told by a remarkable storyteller.
